4010 is the address on Twiggs Street in Old Town San Diego, said to be the Birthplace of California. It's also the site of the Old Town Trolley Company headquarters. Their trolley tours of San Diego are well known to thousands of visitors annually from all over the world.
Our painted white Douglas fir flag pole at Old Town Trolley Company replicates several heritage poles in this historic area marked by Mexican-influenced architecture and culture. It's another example where historians and architects are specifying our wooden poles because unlike today, there existed no aluminum or fiberglass from which to make poles in the times of Father Junipero Serra who is credited with founding the first village in California in 1769 - it's now called San Diego, population 1,223,400.
